Admission
A variety of study options, an extensive selection of programmes of different levels and length, individual approach to every student, high level of teaching, experienced staff — all this makes Petrozavodsk State University an attractive place to study. Here we provide you with basic information on how to get admitted to a course or a programme.
Registration on a programme
1. Your registration on a programme starts with filling in an application form (section "Apply Now"). Please, provide as much information as possible in your application, which would enable us to provide the right level of education for you.
2. The registration fee is 2200 RUB and it is to be transferred to the account of the University. Please, contact us (section "Contacts") to get detailed information.
3. We will also need a scanned copy of your passport which you can send us by email interdep@psu.karelia.ru.
Please note that the closing date for applications is 2 months before the start of a programme.
Info prior to departure
Once we have your completed application and the payment, you will get the confirmation of your registration on a program. After that we will send you the invitation needed for the visa application. Please take note that it usually takes about one month for the Russian authorities to consider an application and issue an invitation.

These application and admission rules for foreign citizens seeking admission to the state educational institution of higher professional education (SEI HPE) "Petrozavodsk State University" regulate the admission of foreign nationals to SEI HPE "Petrozavodsk State University" basic educational programs of higher (B.Sc., Specialist, M.Sc.) and postgraduate professional education (postgraduate education, residency training, internship training, doctorate degrees); research/research and education traineeship; extended education programs (pre-enrollment preparation programs, professional development and retraining programs; short-term education and exchange programmes aimed at enhancing knowledge of the Russian language, culture and literature.
