Maslenitsa Celebration

This year the celebration of Maslenitsa (traditional Russian Pancake Week) was very homelike. Today’s and former students together with the teachers gathered around the festive table. Everyone ate blinis (pancakes) and drank tea from the "samovar" (Russian traditional water boiler). Everything was very tasty, there were five sorts of jam alone, not counting sour cream, honey, condensed milk… After the treat there were Russian folk songs sung, traditional games played and Russian fairy tales staged.
