Korean crepes with sea food, pepsi-chicken, Hungarian stew with chicken liver and Russian curd patty made Egyptian way – this is just a partial list of dishes, which could be tried at the New Year’s evening in the Linguistic Centre of PetrSU.
The reason for that is that New Year was celebrated by students from different countries: China, Hungary, Korea and Egypt. All of them brought their national dishes.
Apart from getting to know the cuisines of different countries, students also learned about Russian New Year customs. For example how to properly propose a toast, sing festive songs and give each other presents.
Such evenings bring together teachers and students from different countries, help to learn Russian and Russian culture, and, of course, bring great New Year spirit!
