The end of the previous week was full of events in Petrozavodsk and the weekend lasted for four days. There was so much to do for the students during those days.
On the 31st of October the whole town enjoyed the Halloween atmosphere. The streets and clubs were full of the citizens dressed up in funny, horrifying, bright, colorful costumes. PetrSU students did their part in the celebrations, too. All the students used the possibility to show their fantasy and the sense of humour.
On the 4th of November all Russia celebrates the National Unity Day that commemorates the end of the Time of Troubles and the Polish-Muscovite War (1605–1618). That day the parade in the town walked along the main streets of Petrozavodsk and the students of the university enthusiastically took part in a flashmob to form the name of the republic with balloons that was seen from above. The international students of PetrSU told that it was a really great experience to get a feel of the unity of the Russian people.
As the days-off are over, we all get back to studying and working and the fun the students had will remain as really good memories.
