The second International Summer Architectural School was held at the premises of the sports and health camp “Shotozero” from July, 16 till July, 31.
The School was organized in collaboration between the Faculty of Industrial and Civil Engineering of PetrSU and the Research Institute for Historical and Theoretical Problems of Folk Architecture (NIINaZ) under the supervision of professors and tutors from University of Pavia and University of Florence (Italy).
The teachers and the students of the faculties of architecture and engineering of the universities of Italy and Russia came to participate in the School. Together they worked on historical, architectural and landscape analysis of the traditional historical sites of Pryazha region of Karelia. In the course of the work they shared experience, practiced new survey techniques and graphic analytic method of studying traditional Karelian timber architecture and historic landscape.
