It is the 9th time when students from the University of Birmingham (Great Britain) have come to Petrozavodsk. Just as before, the main goal of the youngsters is to study the Russian language and get to know Russian and Karelian culture. Apart from intensive studies, students will have eventful cultural program, which includes Petrozavodsk museums, entertainment activities, visit to the Kizhi and Valaam islands, new acquaintances and many other exciting events.
Presently the students have just come to the capital of Karelia and started getting acquainted with the lives of their host families and the citizens of Petrozavodsk. On Sunday our foreign student Grace Thomson, who has already been studying at PetrSU for a year, gave a highlight tour for them. This week the students are having their first Russian language classes.
There’s a plenty of interesting things ahead and we hope our new guests will get heap of new and pleasant impressions, as the majority of them are visiting Russia for the first time.
