From the mid of January a true Russian winter came to Petrozavodsk. Snow, frost, winter activities: skating, skiing, dog sledding – the town folk has everything for their pleasure.
Several free ice rinks have been opened in various districts of the city. Foreign students visited the opening of one such ice rink in Gubernatorsky Park in the centre of the city. For the students from Latin America and North Africa, who dared to come to the winter holiday despite -15C, it was the first time of being on ice. They didn’t get a chance to skate, but the boys are extremely keen to try.
