Last weekend was very eventful for the students from Birmingham. They visited our trademark sight the Kizhi island, challenged themselves on a rafting trip on the Shuya River, and enjoyed the town during the weekday evenings.
What amazes our guests most of all is the white nights Petrozavodsk shares with the town dwellers and visitors. They say they render a special touch to the town.
On the Kizhi island the British guests were fascinated with the Karelian wooden architecture and nature. They got to know more about traditional culture and history of Zaonezhye. Despite swarms of mosquitoes our guests had a great time. As the island is particularly picturesque they took a lot of photos.
Rafting on the river always gives a lot of impressions and adrenaline in the blood. So on Sunday the British students took an adventure trip to the Shuya River. Such a challenging outdoor activity stroke everyone’s fancy. Hopefully all went smoothly, and our students enjoyed themselves and are ready for new adventures.
