Philip Saussez from Belgium spent 2 weeks in Petrozavodsk State University and told us a little bit about his study experience here.
“It was not my first time in Russia, and I think the people of Petrozavodsk are friendly and helpful. My host family helped me through my stay in Petrozavodsk: they supported me in my studies, gave all the information I asked for, and helped me in practical situations. During my stay the winter was at the ending: still cold, some wind and lot of frost although the living conditions at my room / apartment with my host family were very comfortable.
I participated via AMBergh education service to a two week intensive Russian course. I have only good comments to give to the program of Petrozavodsk University: I was well received by the University people and especially the teacher, via an interactive way and answering in my expectations (i.e. conversations and grammar issues), the teacher gave her lessons! The use of the Russian grammar rules in sentences during conversations was the most difficult for me while I was studying.
I hope to come again to improve my Russian language via an identical course. If I have an opportunity to participate directly to the University program I’ll try to follow sooner / often the Russian courses.”
