Chinese Students opened the World of Russian Folklore

Recently the group of Chinese students was at the lesson in Tatiana Kalinina’s Art Gallery “Puppets’ House”. Here they got acquainted with characters of the Russian folklore: Baba-Yaga, brownie, wood goblin and other representatives of the Russian demonology. The students have learnt about their features, and also magic rituals connected with them.
Creative works – short stories and fairy tales – such as «Kak domovoi I leshii v karty igrali”, “Baba-Yaga i ploxoi malchik”, “Kikimora v gostjax u domovogo” became a result of the unusual lesson. In addition, the students told about spirits of the Chinese mythology, their influence on outlook of the Chinese people, the traditional ceremonies which have remained till this day.
