The lesson of Russian as a foreign language with application of “Case Study” technology has taken place at NEOU PetrSU. Students from Finland, England, Italy and South Korea have received the task to develop the concept of the firm or the company and to make presentation at hypothetical International Fair of Vacancies. The main task – to involve employees on available vacancies. For this purpose it is necessary not only to present a competent and convincing monologue, but also to carry on a dialogue and to answer questions of visitors spontaneously (roles of visitors acted group mates).
So, everyone has tried to be in a role of the employer, and in a role of the employee. At the Fair of Vacancies the following companies have been presented: the bureau of translations «Cultural Bridge» (Elin Gosby, England), the international trading company "Leandro" (Leandro Georgudakis, Italy), the firm on the organisation of holidays «Happy Smile» (Seonjoo Woo, South Korea), the publishing company «Kizhskaya Kniga» (Liisa Vuonokari, Finland), the hotel and the restaurant «Savonlina Seurahuone» (Elina Manninen, Finland). It is necessary to tell that the problem of searching for a job is familiar to our students. Obviously it was easier to find a job at our Fair of Vacancies than in real life. Thus Leandro Georgudakis has found two suitable job positions, meanwhile in Italy it was difficult to find even one.
